The property is located in Chemi Chemi -Kilimamoja village only 3.5km off the Makuyuni-Karatu highway after Mto wa Mbu in Karatu District. The site lies between 30 23’49.84’’S and 350 48’ 25.69’’ E standing approximately 1220m above Sea Level. The site lies a few hundred meters north of Lake Manyara. It is 160 kilometers from Arusha City and within easy reach of the four key national parks within the northern circuit that are the primary attractions namely, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. If a hotel or lodge would be built on the property it would be within easy reach of Tanzania’s wildlife resources considered among the finest in the world including Serengeti plains which hosts the largest terrestrial mammals migrating in the world, the Ngorongoro Crater that is the world’s largest intact volcanic crater and home to the highest density of big games in Africa, and Kilimanjaro mountain, Africa‘s highest mountain.

About Project

The business idea for development of a 40-Room high-class hotel on the property in the Lake Manyara area of Northern Tanzania was conceived by Eng. Lambert W. Ndiwata in 2005, and the company LMTR was formed in February 2006 as a vehicle for the development of the luxury lodge. The property is in the Lake Manyara area of Northern Tanzania, an area keenly sought after by potential investors in the hotel and lodges industry.
A lot of preliminary work has been done on the site including survey works, environmental impact assessment, preparation of feasibility studies and a business plan for the development of a luxury tented lodge, all the Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Water Supply Sewage and Plumbing designs. Water and electricity supplies are available or within easy reach. The EIA Certificate and the Water Use Permit from the Internal Drainage Basin Water Board have been granted. The costs of the preliminary work were financed from LMTR shareholders contributions.
LMTR shareholders are seeking buyers to purchase the property including the land for the development of the lodge “as is” and on the “willing buyer, willing seller” basis.
